Rabbi Dov is based on our very good friend, Rabbi James Michaels. We have used Rabbi Jim in the fursonna of Rabbi Dov for many years now, and he has always taken it in very good humor. Rabbi Jim took a spill from his bike last month, and even though he is recovering, we were very worried. However, as usual, Rabbi Jim's adventure gave us the idea for this strip.
